LESSONS FROM 2024

INTRODUCTION

As the year draws to a close, I’ve taken some time to reflect on the lessons 2024 has taught me. Growth, after all, is a lifelong journey, and each year adds something new to our story. Here are some of the insights that shaped me this year. I hope they resonate with you too.

1.) There's nothing wrong with waiting a little bit for what you want.

2.) Along with growth comes pain. But that's okay; it's gonna worth every pain.

3.) At the end of the day, no one is responsible for my success or failure. No one but Me.

4.) My life isn't to be measured with other's timeline. I set my own timeline.

5.) Life is all about phases; and each phases pass by before you know it. So live your life  like the present is the last.

6.) To grow, get ready to get uncomfortable. Nothing great comes from the comfort zone.

7.) Most times, things don't always go as planned. So, I have learnt to adjust my sail to the direction of the wind.

8.) Nothing gives me peace like knowing that I am in God's hands. When you're carried by God, nothing — not even life's disappointments can shake you.

9.) I can't have it all. No one does. I can only appreciate what I have knowing that my own LEAST is someone else's MOST.

10.) 2024 has taught me that life's competition is only ME vs ME; that the only way for me to be happy is when I stop comparing myself to others.

11.) Not everyone I meet in life is meant to stay in my life. Some people just come into our lives to teach us some particular lessons.

12.) The pains, the disappointments, the failures and setbacks are all part of the process of change and transformation.

CONCLUSION

2024 has been a year of learning, unlearning, and growth. I have learnt to grow through whatever I go through. As I step into 2025, I carry these lessons with me, hoping to build a stronger, wiser version of myself. What has 2024 taught you? I'd love to hear your reflections!
