THE POWER WITHIN: BECOMING YOUR OWN SOURCE OF MOTIVATION
“Successful people don't need a lighted fuse to motivate them. Their motivation comes from within. If we wait for others to motivate us, what happens when a coach, a boss, or other inspirational person doesn't show up?”
—John C. Maxwell
It’s good to have those people around you who push you into becoming the best version of yourself. It’s a beautiful thing to have someone who propels you into action, fuels you, and gives you reasons to keep going.
But here’s the reality: what happens when that person is unreachable or even gone? What happens when, suddenly, they stop inspiring you?
What happens?
You find yourself at a loss. You feel unable to proceed, move forward, or take any action. Why? Because you’ve always relied on others to fuel your drive and actions.
Don’t get me wrong—I’m not saying you shouldn’t rely on people for support. Having support systems is essential. But let your strength come from within first. Be your own first motivation. Because in the end, when others are gone, it’s just you and your inner strength.
When what drives and pushes you comes from within, you’ll be unshakeable.
Stop waiting for others to cheer you on before you take action. Be your own cheerleader. Be your own fire. That is a superpower that cannot be easily defeated. Own it.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson said:
"What lies behind you and what lies in front of you pales in comparison to what lies inside of you."
The strength within you is incomparable. Tap into it, and you'll discover a power that stands unwavering in the face of challenges.
