Walking into 2025: Trusting the Master Planner
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn your back on evil.”
~Proverbs 3:5-7 (NLT)
The New Year often comes with fresh hopes, plans, and aspirations. It’s a time to set goals and envision the future. But while planning is essential, there’s an even greater need to involve the Master Planner—God, who holds the future in His hands.
2025 is filled with unknowns. While we hope for the best, no one truly knows what the year holds except the One who knows the end from the beginning. This year, why not do things differently? Why not choose God’s way?
You’ve been doing things your way for so long, relying on your understanding and making plans without consulting Him. And what has that brought you? Frustration, dissatisfaction, despair...
Don’t walk the same path that led you nowhere. This year, change dimensions. Choose God’s way.
What Does It Take to Choose God’s Way?
1. TRUST
Choosing God’s way begins with trust. Trust in His will, His way, His choices, and His timing. The route He may ask you to take might not make sense or feel familiar. But Isaiah 55:8 reminds us:"I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work." GOD’s Decree.
This is why you need to trust Him completely—even when it seems illogical or uncertain.
2. SUBMISSION
Trust leads to submission. Surrender all—withholding nothing. Don’t keep any part of your life away from your Maker. When you submit fully, you open your heart and life to God’s perfect will.3. OBEDIENCE
Submission must be followed by obedience. To walk in God’s way, you must be ready to act on His Word. God’s directions may challenge your comfort zone, but they are always for your good and His glory. Obedience shows your faith in Him (1 Samuel 15:22).4. HUMILITY
Proverbs 3:7 reminds us not to be impressed with our own wisdom. Humility is the acknowledgment that God’s ways are higher and better. It allows you to seek His guidance and depend on His infinite wisdom, rather than your limited understanding.
5. CONSISTENT FELLOWSHIP
You cannot walk with God without spending time with Him. This year, prioritize fellowship through prayer, worship, and studying His Word. When you stay connected to Him, you receive clarity, strength, and direction for your journey.A Challenge for 2025
Take a moment to evaluate your heart. Are you truly ready to relinquish control and let God take the lead? It’s not always easy, but the peace and fulfillment that come with aligning your plans with His will are worth it.
Let 2025 be the year you trust, submit, obey, remain humble, and deepen your fellowship with God. As you do, He will surely direct your paths and make your ways prosperous.
What steps will you take this week to actively involve God in your plans for 2025?
